Alexander Carleton
Articling student

Alexander Carleton is a recent law graduate and began articling with Gorham Vandebeek in the spring of 2021. He was born and raised in New Brunswick, and except for brief time in Calgary for his M.A, has lived his whole life in Fredericton. His passions range from criminal law, to firearms, and swing dancing.
Besides his J.D. from the University of New Brunswick, Alexander has a B.A. in Political Science and History from St. Thomas University, and an M.A. in Political Science from University of Calgary. While at UNB Law he maintained the Lord Beaverbrook Scholarship, the top scholarship for the school, and won numerous awards, including the Canadian Council of Criminal Defence Lawyers Prize. His interests were thoroughly in criminal law and advocacy, including a 2ndplace finish at the Atlantic Sopinka Cup Criminal Law Moot, and representing the school in the Jessup International Law Moot competition.
